Grants
Utah Cooperation Cohort grants will support programs, projects, and initiatives that bring campus and/or community members together to create a culture of cooperation across difference. Strong projects will demonstrate the potential to build respect, develop genuine relationships, and foster common action for the common good.

Curriculum development
Internship and fellowship programs
Service opportunities
Community engagement efforts
Projects should take place during the academic year.

Who Can Apply:
Applicants must be affiliated with one of the participating institutions:
University of Utah
Utah State University
Weber State University
Southern Utah University
Snow College
Utah Tech University
Utah Valley University
Salt Lake Community College
Faculty, staff, students, health care practitioners, and administrators are all eligible to serve as lead applicants. Cross-campus proposals are encouraged, as are proposals submitted in partnership with other organizations or individuals.
Expectations and Requirements for Grantees:
Grant recipients will be expected to:
- Design and implement a program, project, or initiative focused on creating a culture of cooperation across difference.
- Attend an in-person kickoff convening November 9–10, 2026, in Salt Lake City.
- Participate in virtual cohort gatherings during the Winter and Spring of 2027.
- Complete a final survey/report by the end of July 2027.
Kickoff Convening:
The kickoff convening will explore issues related to cooperation across difference, equip grantees with skills and resources to strengthen their projects, and provide opportunities for grantees to connect with and learn from one another.
Attendance at the November 9–10 convening is required for the lead grantee from each project.
